Getting Userinfo from Username 

Hii All,

I have username and I want to get info like, User Email, LastLogin data, etc from it? How can i do this. On DNN 3.5 I am using MemberRole.dll 1.0.0.0 to acheive this. But when i tries the same on DNN 4.5, it gives error.

Please help me out.

this is what im using in DNN 3.3.4

 Dim ctlDNNUser As New UserController

Dim dnnUser As UserInfo = ctlDNNUser.GetUser(PortalSettings.PortalId, UserId)

then you can use "dnnUser.Displayname" and so on

As you can see im using the userID to get the userinfo but try it with username if you must use the username.

Hi:

In DNN 4 you should use something like this:

Dim USR As New UserInfo
USR = UserController.GetUserByName(PortalId, "mubashir")
