IMC event from module that supports partial rendering?

I'm trying to send an IMC event from a module that supports partial rendering, but the event is not send.

How can I send the IMC event from the partial rendering module so that the other modules capture it?

 Thanks in advance

Re: IMC event from module that supports partial rendering?

What I want to know is how to send the IMC event outside the partial rendering, because the module sometimes needs to refresh other modules.

Thanks in advance.

I have only toyed with this....  But I seem to recall it working.  The module you want to respond to the event also needs to be in an updatePanel.
