Visual web developer 2008 PROBLEM !

Hello,

i have problems with Visual Studio Express ...

When I edit Skin.ascx, saving, switch to design view, split, code, there is problem wit autocorrecting of code.

Original code:

<%@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="LOGIN" Src="~/Admin/Skins/Login.ascx" %>
<%@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="COPYRIGHT" Src="~/Admin/Skins/Copyright.ascx" %>

After editing:

<%@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="LOGIN" Src="Admin/Skins/Login.ascx" %>
<%@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="COPYRIGHT" Src="Admin/Skins/Copyright.ascx" %>

Visual studio removes: ~/

 Before editing:

<TD width="100%" vAlign="top" align="center"><B>..::</B>&nbsp;<dnn:BREADCRUMB runat="server" id="dnnBREADCRUMB" Separator="&nbsp;&raquo;&nbsp;" RootLevel="0" /><B>::..</B></TD>

After editing:

<TD width="100%" vAlign="top" align="center"><B>..::ter"><B>..::</B>&nbsp;<dnn:BREADCRUMB runat="server" id="dnnBREADCRUMB" Separator="&nbsp;&raquo;&nbsp;" RootLevel="0" /><B>::..</B></TD>

Please how to resolve this problem with autocorrecting ?

Thank You

Re: Visual web developer 2008 PROBLEM !

Have not worked with VS Express 2008, but I wonder if this is because using "~/ - parent paths" is considered a security risk and not  recommended.  In IIS  6 you have to explicitly  change a setting to allow parent paths.  Maybe in VS2008 they have gotten even more strict and now the editor removes  "~/" by default.  If that is the case their is probably a setting so that the editor does not do that.

I have not idea why it would replace the "..::"  characters with "..::ter"".
