File Upload Problem

Hi,

I have to get user's photo when they update their profile. I am using HTML file control as well as fileupload control to get the photo path.

But after selecting the path, if I click upload button, the content in the fileupload control is not found.

Also I have analysed the default modules present in the application. In Admin\files\Webupload control page, the html File control is used to get tje image. In that page, the value of the fileupload control is maintained properly.

Can you please let me know how can i upload the user's image usinf the html's file control or fileupload control ?

Thanks,
Uma

Re: File Upload Problem

Most likely your control is being wrapped in an update panel, ensure that the "Supports Partial Rendering" box is NOT checked for the control.

Re: File Upload Problem

As an alternative to not using an update panel, you can force the button which triggers the upload to cause a full postback. In your control's Page_Load handler, use the following code (where btnUpload is a reference to the button triggering the upload):

If DotNetNuke.Framework.AJAX.IsInstalled Then DotNetNuke.Framework.AJAX.RegisterPostBackControl(btnUpload)
