.sqlDataProvider when developing a Module
Hi, I created a custom DotNetNuke Module. My module needs custom tables, so I created some tables and scripts to retrieve/alter the data in my own tables. The xxx.SQLDataProvider doesn't show the create scripts of my table (I created the tables with SQL Server Management Studio). How does the xxx.SQLDataProvider works? Do I need to put my own scripts into the xxx.SQLDataProvider file or does DotNetNuke handle this itself? I'm really confised about it. Thanks for the reply. Regards, Russel

Re: .sqlDataProvider when developing a Module

the dnn module installer just runs the sql you put in the xx.xx.xx.sqldataprovider file (where xx.xx.xx is equal or less to the version of your module as defined in the dnn file). You need to create the scripts yourself (you can use SSMS for that). Please also have a look at core modules to see what sqldataprovider files look like
