how to use Ajax in asp.net 

hi,

i am using asp.net ith c# codebehind

In dropdownlist or button

When select options from dropdown control : its going postback(refresh the whole page)

My question :

i need to use ajax concept in asp.net ? how to use?

Pls give some solution with flow.

 Here is a link to a video tutorial that will walk you through building a simple to do list application using ajax.  The only difference in doing Ajax is a standard asp.net application and DNN is that if you are developing a DNN module you do not need to add the ScriptManager.

   Queston 1:


    In Edit Module control [(Host Menu > Module Definitions > Edit Module Definition > Edit Module Control)]
    Supports Partial Rendering is enabled (checkbox) : its enough for Ajax concept ?

I do not believe Partial Render is the same as Ajax.  Partial render has been around for a long time (since .Net 1.1 if memory serves me correctly).  Partial render attempts to do some Ajax like rendering, but it is not Ajax nor is it as powerful and refresh resistant as Ajax.
