Try to rechange "Control language="C#" ---> "Control language="VB" in file Default.aspx . And tell me what are result when you tried.

the error is a misnomer, as it's thrown by the clientAPI which expects a moduleID, masking the original issue (which is why Nik's page helps you see the true error). It was logged as this and a fix was checked in yesterday for it.
