Problem opening DNN4 Solution

Hi,

I am trying to open DNN4 using MS Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition.

I have amended the .sln file to reflect my url and also enabled Front Page Extensions on my web server.

But, when i try and load the project, it comes up with an error saying:

"The application for project 'c:\blah\blah\Library\DotNetNuke.Library.vbproj' is not installed"

"Make sure the application for the project (.vbproj) is installed."

Has anyone got any ideas what I maybe doing wrong please?

Thanks

Trev

Re: Problem opening DNN4 Solution

Trev,

MS Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition can not open project files or solution. It even does not need Frontpage Extensions any more. Easiest way is to use the starter kit.

If you have successfully installed DNN4.x.x start WebExpress and open  Website, local IIS and point to your virtual directory containing DNN.

You can not access all libraries- for the other non web components you need Visual Basic 2005 Express edition to open .vbproj files.
