is the ModapPopupExtender incompatibe with DNN

I am trying to use the ModalPopupExtender in a module and cannot get it to position itself in the center of the screen (its supposed default location). What I CAN say is that is seems the absolute center of the modal dialog is at 0,0 coordinates, or close to it. Is there a compatibility issue with this and the default.aspx file? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it?

Jon

Re: is the ModapPopupExtender incompatibe with DNN

Hi Michael,

I looked that one over and did as it suggested (several different ways) but it did not work for me. I made an almost identical module as the page in the toolkit. The modal dialog pops up @30,30 but panel1 begins its rendering in the exact position of the panel1 declaration with the control. Any ideas around that one?

<asp:Panel ID="Panel1" runat="server" Style="display: none" Height="50px" Width="125px" CssClass="panel1">
<asp:Panel ID="Panel2" runat="server" BackColor="#FFFFC0" Height="50px" Width="250px" CssClass="modalPopup" >

CSS

.panel1
{
position: relative;
height: 50px;
width: 125px;
}

.modalBackground
{
position: relative;
background-color:Gray;
filter:alpha(opacity=70);
opacity:0.7;
}

.modalPopup
{
background-color:#ffffdd;
border-width:3px;
border-style:solid;
border-color:Gray;
padding:3px;
height:50px;
width:250px;
}

Re: is the ModapPopupExtender incompatibe with DNN

Michael,

I had a copy of the March 2007 build of the AjaxControlToolkit and copied the dll to my development portal. The problems with the positioning of Panel1 went away, however, putting X Y coords for the position of Panel2 caused it to be positioned behind Panel1 as evidence of it being greyed out like the rest of the page. Omitting position coords left it at the top left hand corner and I have to drag it into position to use it. Who do we register bug in the AjaxControlToolkit with?

Jon
