How to get the ModuleId from another Module 

Hi,

I want to allow the user to navigate from one of my module views to another view  in another module. This should be done using the Globals.NavigateURL(...), where the first arg is the ModuleID.

As the PortalSettings.ActiveTab.TabID gives the current ModuleID, how to get the ModuleID of another module ?

go to module and take it from Address bar of your browser. unfortunately, there is no selection control available atm.

Use:

DotNetNuke.Common.GetDesktopModuleByName("ModuleName").DesktopModuleID

or query database directly.

I've found the method in the following class:

new DotNetNuke.Entities.Modules.DesktopModuleController().GetDesktopModuleByName("ModuleName").DesktopModuleID

It returns the requested ModuleID
