Multiple Views on One Module...

Okay... here is my issue... or design problem. I have a Module that has a form. When someone clicks a button on the form it shows a bunch of results (at this point I want the form to be invisible, or not shown). Now someone can click one of the items on the result set returned and it shows more detail in regards to that specific item. How do I have one module handle this? Setting the visible flag is looking very ugly on all the various items...

Sorry... I am new to DNN Development... any tips are appreciated!

Re: Multiple Views on One Module...

The cleanest way would probably be to move each view into its own control and navigate between them using EditUrl.

If you want to keep them all on the same control, I would recommend using the MultiView control, which is made for expressly this purpose.

Hope it helps,

Re: Multiple Views on One Module...

Dominic:

If the form is small, what I do is that I add a panel object and then put the whole form on the panel.  In that way you only need to turn the visibility of the panel off and it will take care of all the form objects.  For small forms/objects, you can have multiple panels with different forms on them and switch the visibility on and off at will, just make sure that you keep everything straight in your head as to under what conditions will take care of the visibility of each panel.
