VS2008 ,net 3.5 and MVC

Hello Everybody,

I was wondering if there was any plans to move DNN over to the new MVC development  option that has been released.

Re: VS2008 ,net 3.5 and MVC

no fixed plans. We are evaluating it as it moves through the betas. Typically what happens is that one or more of the core modules will try to test the new development model and see what the strengths/weaknesses are, and highlight any issues, before it would be considered for the core. In my person opinion it's too much work for too little return to rewrite thousands of lines of core code, though it I was creating new complex modules i would certainly consider it to help me build adequate unit test frameworks.

Re: VS2008 ,net 3.5 and MVC

Hi,

So does that mean that it could be an option for module development, and if so, how would it deal with the DNN part of the url?

Re: VS2008 ,net 3.5 and MVC

please notice, that MVC is still in beta and only basic controls are available. ATM I see no usage of it in the near future (i.e. next months).
