Extending Core DotNetNuke Modules 

Halo guys,,,

I am newbie to DotNetNuke and now i am learning to develop modules in DotNetNuke. My Question is " Is it possible to extend or modify the existing Core DotNetNuke Modules(Ex Articles Module, FAQ Module etc)" .Indeed i have a need to modify the existing module so that it suits my pocket.

If yes, how to add the code beside files for the existing user controls in module(/DesktopModules/Articles).. Also where the Business logic and Data Access Layer for the existing modules reside..?. Also reference to any websites that teaches "Modifying to Existing DNN Modules" would be helpful

Kindly help me in this regard.. All replies are appreciated..

I don't know of any tutorials available for modifying existing DNN modules, however, you can check out Michael Washington's DNN Module Tutorials.

Also, to get the complete source of the modules, you will need to go to the SourceForge repository for DNN.
