How to ensure correct role retrieval when navigating between portals?

Hi,

I want to fix a problem. Here's the situation: User A - Admin of Portal A and Registered User of Portal B. When he moves from Portal A to B, his admin state in Portal A is preserved in Portal B. After a few clicks, the role is refreshed.

However, the problem is that user A may see private content in Portal B and that is not safe.

So how can I ensure that user's role is refreshed each time he moves from a portal to another?

Thanks,

Duc

Hi Duc,

What version of DNN are you experiencing this behavior on?  I would like to attempt to reproduce.

Brandon

Re: How to ensure correct role retrieval when navigating between portals?

Thanks Brandon,

It's DNN 4.8.2 , httpCachebility is set to "Server". And the target page only contains a Text/HTML module. If there's a dynamic module like the User Account, everything'd be fine.

Brandon,

Have you been able to recreate this?

Thanks.

Re: How to ensure correct role retrieval when navigating between portals?

Hi Duc,

I just spent quite awhile trying my best to reproduce the issue you described, but have had no success.  In my environment everything works as it should.

Have you tried adjusting your settings to see if you can determine exactly which configuration option might be causing this problem?  It's possible that I have not reproduced your environment exactly.

Brandon
