I'm using DotNetNuke 4.8.1 with VS2005 on Vista.

I want to enable windows authentication for my DotNetNuke site. I've found the part of the web.config about authorization, but when i comment out the forms-part and enable the windows-part, the website starts an infinite loop.

Can somebody help me?

I get the same error with the infinate loop, but I do not want to re-install the website and I want to know the cause of it incase this happens in production.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

Varcour wrote OK, I think I fixed it... I did a clean install on our testserver and windows authentication is enabled. Must have been a localhost thing. I'm displaying Page.User.Identity.Name in a label. With forms-authentication it is "host", but when I turn on windows authentication, it is blank. Can someone tell me how to get the username of the person trying to access the site?

Just use Me.UserInfo.UserName

Userinfo will always hold the info of the current user, no matter what authentication was used
