Using ObjectDataSource in WAP projects

I was trying to use an ObjectDataSource as a datasource for a DataGrid for a module in a WAP project. When I try to use the Visual Studio GUI I am unable to see any of my objects in the ObjectDataSource dropdown. I have been doing some research on this and found more people were having this problem. A suggestion was to first add the TypeName in the source and the switching to the designview to continue using the wizard. This however results in an error stating the type could not be loaded.

As all the information I was able to find on the subject is a few months old I was wondering if anybody had made any progress on this or if there is a workarround?

Re: Using ObjectDataSource in WAP projects

I didn´t get any replies on this question. Does this mean nobody is using this method or is the question not clear?

I would realy like to know if this is possible or even advisable.

Thanks.

Stephan

Re: Using ObjectDataSource in WAP projects

I was unable to use an object datasource in a WAP project I am fully able in WSP. though I do often fall foul of the source not appearing in the list of datasources.

To get around it I manually enter all the details rather than relying upon the wizard.
