How to compile app_code

I'm stumped.

I've created a custom module, and I'd like to compile it for distribution.  How do we handle the app_code, however?  It gets compiled as app_code.dll.  That would, of course, cause conflicts with any other module that uses app_code.

What is the work around?  Thanks!

Bryan:

See if the following link to a tutorial by Michael Washington would help you.

Re: How to compile app_code

I'll answer my own question.  After a lot of searching, I came upon this thread:

http://www.headvert.com/Forum/tabid/145/forumid/26/threadid/26/scope/posts/Default.aspx

So, the answer was to put the name of my sub folder under app_code in the web.config, like so:

      <codeSubDirectories>
        <add directoryName="MyModule" />
      </codeSubDirectories>
