Bind Query to Label?

How would one bind a sql query (single value result) to a label in vb codebind?  Is this possible?
Since a label does not have a DataSource property like:  ListBox.DataSource = CType(DataProvider.Instance().ExecuteSQL(mySqlString.ToString(), Nothing), IDataReader)
