acsx files not upgrading

I am at a loss. I have created a module, which works fine, but when I create another version to upgrade to, the dll rewrites itself, but the acsx files do not? What should I do to delete or overwrite the old ascx file?

Version 01.00.00 > 02.00.00

Re: acsx files not upgrading

I got it. Through reading, I found out that the acsx contros do indeed get overwritten, even if your module version is the same.

02.05.05 > 02.05.05

  • dll is overwritten
  • ascx controls are overwritten

I have just been at this for hours and am not thinking clearly. I forgot to zip up the new control. I was just adding the new dll to the files, then zipping them up. Once I placed the new control in the zip and installed it again, the module worked like a charm.
