WAP Project Setup Guidelines

Hello everybody,

I am struggling with some issues in VS 2008 using the designer to view my aspx and ascx files. When I try to switch to the design view I get an error when VS tries to display the control or form: "Error Creating Control: control name: The value does not fall within the expected range." I have removed all the markup in the source view and simply added an textbox and still get the same problem. I have googled this to death and can not find anything that seems related.

Another interesting note... If I start a brand new WAP project and then add this ASPX (or ASCX) file to that new project when I click the designer button VS 2008 appears to hang there and never displays the file in design mode. If I click on other files in the project they appear to work fine??

Does anybody out there have any guidelines on how to best setup a VS 2008 WAP project for a DNN module? I will want to copy files from other projects to this one and then modify them.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Regards, Todd.

Re: WAP Project Setup Guidelines

Hi Everybody,

I am still stuck on this. I did do some more research and find the Starter Kit on Michael Washington's site. I installed it, but there does not appear to be a C# WAP starter project. Does anybody have one that works with VS 2008?

Thanks Todd.
