Updates, how often?

Dear Colleagues!

Please help with question about updates:

1) Client purchases module

2) In 4 months from date of purchasing new version comes

3) In 1 year again new version

Should be updates for free? Or for minor versions only? How do you do this?

Thanks in adavnce!

Sergey

This really depends on your specific business needs.

Re: Updates, how often?

Most of the modules and controls I buy give:

Updates of minor patches/bug fixes for free for the life of the product.
Upgrades for major updates for 1 or 2 years (this varies)
Upgrades to new versions for 1 year.

Re: Updates, how often?

Thank you very much for your comments!

But what is clients ask more and more new features and new versions will be regular. What will be in this way?

Thanks

Sergey
