How to Restrict "Print" option to a particular role group....

halo guys,

I have a requirement of restricting the print option in DotNetNuke to particular role group.

That means, only users belonging to a particular role group must be able to take print out of the website content.

The users in the other role group  must be able to only view the content but should not able to take print out.

How to meet this requirement in DNN.

Kindly guide me in achieving this.

All replies are appreciated.

Regards,

deepak

Well, by default any content can be printed as the users browser supports printing.

The print icons in DotNetNuke are done on a module by module, basis, to selectivly hide this based on security role would require a modification to the core code.

What Mitch Sellers said was right, but if this is something you have to do you can

On the same page. Add a module fore each of the group and restrict viewing for that group only. add print ability to group.module you want to allow to print.

Of couse anyone viewing the page can always screen shot it or copy to word and print.
