Dear All

I have this error i new in dnn install starter kit and create new data base

then manage security

then chang web config file

 

 

DotNetNuke Upgrade Error

The Assembly Version ( [ASSEMBLYVERSION] ) does not match the Database Version ( [DATABASEVERSION] )

ERROR: Could not connect to database.

The stored procedure 'dbo.GetPortalAliasByPortalID' doesn't exist.

 

what  should i do ?

hi,

did you follow the installation instructions ?

http://localhost/YOUR_DNN_DIRECTORY/install/install.aspx?mode=install

true the above 1 or 2 twice depending on your system speed.

look at www.traincert.net , they have some good videos on  the installation process

IIRC, it means that your connection string isn't right. One of the first things it does is try and run a stored proc (the one mentioned) and it fails.
