Custom User Registration ! Just with 3rd party solutions ???

Hello everybody.

I believe I´m the not only one who needs some additional fields in the User Resgistration form.
I read a lot of posts in this forum, it seams that if we extend it by ourselves, our effort is over-writed in the first dnn upgrade.
Everybody are indicating some 3rd party solutions to resolve this problem.
Is it correct ? There isn´t a way to expand some custom fields just using the core code of DNN ?

For current DNN version you are right, but have a look at Shaun Walker's post on the enhancements of upcoming DNN 3.3/4.1 and look into the Blog of Charles Nurse for further details :)
