Besides ASP.NET 2.0 features, how is DNN4 better than DNN3?

Has the core changed? New MS Best Practices or whatnot implemented?

We keep the 3.x and 4.x code in sync, there is no difference in features. There are a few minor coding differences where we've replaced some asp.net 1.1 code with asp.net 2.0 e.g. using generics rather than arraylist's of objects for performance, but nothing too significant.

At some point we will stop developing the asp.net 1.1 codebase as it's a large overhead keeping the 2 sets in sync, so if you're coming to DNN new, it's probably wiser to start with the 4.x version.
