extending administrator control

I want to extend the login module for dotnetnuke but I am not sure how the adimistrator control will be affected.  How can I insure that once the login module is extended that the portal administrator can have full control of all controls on that login module (current controls and extended controls).  Is this even possible.  I would like to know how to go about doing this because I don't want to have a dynamic website with static extended modules, meaning I want to be able to control my modules just as can now but with the extended code being controlled as well.

Thanks,

Frank

Re: extending administrator control
please notice, that this area will heavily change in DNN 3.3/4.1, so you might want to wait for the new version to make your changes.

Re: extending administrator control
I'm not sure I completely understand what you're asking, but if you want to know whether the user can edit the module, use the IsEditable property. Outside of that, just play around with it and test the module after you add your extensions. If you need to, install a second instance of DNN that works without your mods so you can see them both work side-by-side.
