Problems with Module Template 4.03.02

Hi there,

I'm trying to create a C# module using DNN Module Template in VS2005.

When I try to compile (even without addind a single line of code) I got the following error:

Error 1 The name 'DataProvider' does not exist in the current context C:\Websites\Contactforms\App_Code\Contactforms\Controller.cs 71 17 C:\Websites\Contactforms\

Any ideas to solve this one?

Regards

Re: Problems with Module Template 4.03.02
Do you have this in your web.config file?

        <compilation>
             ...
            <codeSubDirectories>
                <add directoryName="Contactforms"/>
            </codeSubDirectories>
        </compilation>

ver 4.3.1 (to 8 July 2006) ver 4.3.2 (to 20 July 2006) ver 4.3.3 (to 5 Aug 2006) ver 4.3.4 (to 20 Sep 2006) ver 4.3.5 (to 25 Dec 2006) ver 4.4.0 (to date)

Re: Problems with Module Template 4.03.02

I have the same problem (and many others too) although I did have the compilation tag activated.

<compilation>
             ...
            <codeSubDirectories>
                <add directoryName="MyCSModule"/>
            </codeSubDirectories>
 </compilation>

For some reason putting C# code in the solution seems to corrupt the whole build...

Thanks for any help

Costantino

Re: Problems with Module Template 4.03.02

This are several bugs with the c# module template - I experience the same issue.  From what I remember, you need to change the namespaces on two files in the App_Code folder (They still mention TestModule).  Also, you need to change method names in the dataprovider to reflect your module (they also include the word 'testmodule')  Finally, I had to change a couple lines of code that looked very vbish - () instead of [] and '&' instead of '+'.  Also had to add some parenthesis to a 'ToUpper()' function call.
