Problem building a roster (extending Users)
Hello.

I'm making a roster control for our users. At the top is dataview of certian roles on the portal and information about them. Clicking on the name of the role should populate a second dataview below with information about the users belonging to that role. Think departments and professors at a university.

This actually works perfectly when logged in as the host account or one with host priveliges. But when logged in anonymously or as a regular user, no users show up initially.

If I wait a little while and click on a different role, it will actually pull up the users. But if, after getting those users, I click on another different role it will just populate with the same users again.

There is no code present to determine user security level upon viewing the control as we want everyone to be able to look at these. And the fact that it works after some time tells me there's some kind of difference in DSO caching or redirecting between host accounts and normal accounts.

It's just I've been unable to find anything on it. I was hoping someone here could shed some light on this or maybe has run into something similar.

Re: Problem building a roster (extending Users)
Well it appears it was connected with the module cache settings in the module definition screen. Setting it to 0 from 30 fixed it.

Why this isn't the case for administrators but is for normal users is something I had never considered.
