Re: Minimize Duplicate Content by Avoiding DNN's LinkClick.aspx

Nicely written up .

It's worth pointing out that those who like to play with core source can change (fix?) the behaviour of the FCKeditor link builder to produce nice friendly links rather than LinkClick ones. In a nutshell, see line 243, towards the end of the cmdSelect_Click method, in ~\Providers\HtmlEditorProviders\Fck\fcklinkgallery.aspx.vb, add the false parameter to the end of the LinkClick method call.

mylink = DotNetNuke.Common.Globals.LinkClick(mylink, Me.PortalSettings.ActiveTab.TabID, -1, False)

Then build the independent provider project and drop the dll into ~\..\Library\Providers\HtmlEditorProviders\Fck\bin. Thanks to the various people on these forums who came up with this trick.

Rhys.
