New Free Module: Media Inline

This module allows you to show medias such as audio and video in ANYWHERE in pages of your DotNetNuke web site. It uses jQuery Media Plugin that supports unobtrusive conversion of standard markup into rich media content. It can be used to embed virtually any media type, including Flash, Quicktime, Windows Media Player, Real Player, MP3, Silverlight, PDF and more, into a DotNetNUke web page.

The module is built in DNN 4.5.0. It can works properly with 4.5+.

Living demo is here: http://www.zldnn.com/MediaInLine/tabid/513/Default.aspx

Download the user guide and PA here: http://www.zldnn.com/Default.aspx?TabId=233 . Register is free.

Re: New Free Module: Media Inline
Modified By simonduz on 9/3/2008 2:15:51 PM)

I was trying out your module and I am having difficulty with .mp3 files.   I spent some time at your site looking for an example (.mp3) then I went to the jQuery Audio examples.

I placed the module on a page just as you explained.  I then used the Text/HTML module.  After I save my chages no controls ever display.
For my HTML I used <a class="media" href="random_tones.mp3">Media</a>  (I placed the file in multiple locations trying to "get it right")

This is the output source for the Text/HTML module when it loads.

  1. <!-- Start_Module_414 --><div id="dnn_ctr414_ModuleContent">
  2. <div id="dnn_ctr414_HtmlModule_lblContent" class="Normal" sysimgpath="images/" cssEdit="LabelEditTextClass" cssOver="LabelEditOverClassML" eventName="none" multiline="1" richtext="1" callback="dnn.xmlhttp.doCallBack('lblContent dnn_ctr414_HtmlModule_lblContent','[TEXT]',this.callBackSuccess,this,this.callBackFail,this.callBackStatus,null,null,0);" tbId="tbEIPHTML" nsPrefix="dnn$ctr414$HtmlModule" blursave="0">
  3. <p><a class="media" href="random_tones.mp3">Media</a></p>
  4. </div>
  5. <!-- End_Module_414 -->

Thanks...

Re: New Free Module: Media Inline

Thanks for your question. You can add type to force the module using media player to play MP3 file.

For example, <a class="media {width:190, height:35, type:'WMA'}" href="random_tones.mp3">Media</a>.

Regards

Lei
