Add images to Store

I'm trying to get a store up and running in 4.7, but it seems the only user that can add images to the Store Catalog is the super user.

I tried giving full permissions to the ID that I want to do the adding, but the "Upload New File" link isn't there.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Add images to Store

Hi Dan,

This is not a problem related to Store. The module apply your defined rules about your access rights on folders. It's better to create a group like "Store Editors" and to add your user(s) to this group. In the case the "editor" change, you just have to remove it from the group and add it the new "editor", thus nothing change to the page/modules rights. Concerning the upload, login as Admin or Host, then click on "Files" in the admin panel on top right. In the left tree, select the folder where you want your users be able to upload images and check "Write to Folder" for the group "Store Editors".

Re: Add images to Store

Thanks Gilles - that did the trick.

I guess the only question now would just be in streamlining the app a little bit ... when adding a new item, is there a way to change the default of the "File Location:" from "Root" to "Images\"? (It's definately not critical to get that changed, it would just save a step each time.)

Re: Add images to Store

Hi Dan,

Sorry but it's not possible. Because Store use the standard URLControl included with DNN and it's a nightmare! The Core Team talk from a long time to replace this #@! piece of code.

Alright - Thanks again! We'll just run with that for the time being...
