Why can I see "Mode: View/Edit" bar?

Hi, I am running the 4.5.5 ver of DNN. At the top of main page the bar "Mode View/Edit" is shown. Why is it? How can I get rid of it?

Re: Why can I see "Mode: View/Edit" bar?

I do not. I can see this bar since last upgrade - up to 4.5.5. Even when I check the Edit option the modules do not become editable (is there a word editable in english :) ? )

Re: Why can I see "Mode: View/Edit" bar?

the view/edit bar is part of the control center, that remains visible, even if the control panel is hidden.

Switching to edit does show the edit controls and action menu of the modules. Make sure, you did not accidently hit "Design" icon in Control center, which hides all module content.

Go into Admin, Site settings and in the usability section change the Control Panel Security to Page Editors. This restores the option to how it was prior to 4.55 - invisible to module editors.
