Hi 67rss,

you're right, the word alert causes many modules to truncate your content, so, until the issue is solved, you'd better not use it. Anyway, the Host Alerts you receive by the media module can be solved by entering the EventQueue table and setting all the IsComplete flags to true. This workaround is quite common.
