Multi-Colored .rootmenuitem in SolPart Menu? 

I would like to specify a variety of colors (or background images) for each rootmenuitem.

ie. first root menu item   as blue, next in line red, 4rd yellow etc...

It appears that there is only 1 css .rootmenuitem  class to specify how to r, and as such limits the root menu items to all be styled the same way...is anyone aware how to achieve multiple root menu item colors within 1 menu?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated...
