Per user blog??

Maybe a simple question but I haven't found an answer ....

I need a blogging module that allows for each registered user to have their own blog. Ideally the URL to the blog should be based on a user/profile field. ie. If I create a new user attribute called [BLOG_NAME] for example then access to the blog should be via the Url http://www.somesite.com/[BLOG_NAME] ..... does that make sense ?

TIA for any ideas/suggestions etc.

D

Re: Per user blog??

I actually modified the Core Blog module for a client to do per-user blogs.

It's been a bit over a year ago, I'm not sure if there have been changes to the core blog module since then which would accomplish this without re-coding.

I know the per-user change was very fast to add, starting with the core blog as a base...Utlizing the SiteURLs you could easily accomplish the changes to support " http://www.somesite.com/[BLOG_NAME]   "
