Portal Clone

Greetings. Is anyone aware of a script or tool to assist with cloning a portal? I have a portal that I want to essentially copy in place on the same DNN instance, e.g, copy portal 1 to portal 2, then start makeing changes to portal 2 rather than starting to build portal 2 from scratch.

Thanks,

Ralph

Re: Portal Clone

the only option provided is to login as superuser ("host") and enter Portals in Host menu.

select your portal and "create template". Specify this template when creating your 2nd site, however some settings and modules might be missíng in the clone, due to lack of  iPortable support.

Re: Portal Clone

Thanks Sebastian. I'll give that a shot. Having some of the module come over is perhaps better than starting from scratch. Thanks for the tip.
