Sorry folks - newbie question here :)

If i build  a website using DNN, is it then possible to transfer only the site application code and pages onto a different IIS server that does not have DNN installed ?

Cathal, thanks for the link to Eriks information -  I think then the answer is No !

It seems that once i have built a site using DNN it is then forever dependent on the DotNetNuke framework for it to function and will require DNN code to be installed along with DNN specific database tables. To give one example - if it were a pure ASP.NET site it would not carry the overhead of the DNN event logging facility.

I was hoping that once the site was built it could be detached from all the DNN functions and overhead ?

I have a dedicated IIS 2003 server which runs some classic asp sites and also a .NET site.  Will it be straightforward to install DNN on that server and build and run a DNN based site without disturbing our existing sites ?
