Just to speak in regards to the documents module.  I am getting things together now to get this issue fixed and get version 4.1.0 of the module out as soon as I can!

I just took over the project last week, I'll try to get some timelines out there ASAP.

Mitch, Sorry I wasn't trying to single out the documents module.  It's just the last problem I saw and I remembered it as an example here.  All software has problems and the documents module is great.  I rely on it heavily.

I like that it's Open Source too and am not proposing to change that.  I'm just trying to find a way to get faster support for interim issues that crop up with the core modules.  Maybe the standard DNN support plans will cover this.  I'll find out, but I really doubt even that will offer patches between module releases.

I understand about the software change management issues with interim patches that someone mentioned earlier.  I did spend 8 years as a programmer in the past, just not .NET.  However, when the dot releases are months apart and major errors are not being fixed, it makes it difficult to use the apps for production business sites.  I'm just trying to find a way to help the core module teams directly.
