What might cause "Object must implement IConvertible." error?

As you can see here, the error "Object must implement IConvertible." appears at the top of some threads (only twice so far that I've noticed) and it is causing some posts to not show.  I'm new to DNN and really don't know how to troubleshoot it as of yet.

Re: What might cause "Object must implement IConvertible." error?

Well - I can't follow your link to see the detail of the problem.

But - this error is a "programming" error somewhere.  The code is expecting an "object" that implements the IConvertible Interface - but it is getting passed an object that does NOT implement this interface, and so while the code compiles - it does not run properly.

You should contact the vendor of the particular "module" that is causing that.  The detail of the error should infidcate what is actually causing the error.

Re: What might cause "Object must implement IConvertible." error?

FYI Charles

This started happening with the CBO in DNN 4.8.x.  We just modified our code to not use the CBO fill methods.
