I need advise.

I believe I am completely out of my league. It all started when I decided to take an Adobe Dreamweaver class. It wasn't until the end of the class that I realized I needed database modules in order to make a real website. I don't know anything about programming, databases or html so I almost gave up when a friend of mine suggested dotnetnuke.com. I investigated and thought great finally something that will help me in my quest to create a website... Soon after I realized I needed XP Pro or Vista. I only have XP home on my home PC but I do have Vista Home Premium on my laptop. I don't have the money to invest in new PCs and software so I am trying to install on Vista. I can't seem to find any significant documentation on installing dotnetnuke on Vista including how to create a database. I know I have IIS and SQL express but don't even know what they are. Yes, I am ignorant and completely lost. I was under the impression this would be easy. I don't want to spend years learning SQL and HTML and other technologies in order to make a website. I thought that was the point of dotnetnuke. Am I completely off base? I just want to build a website thats function well and uses log in, blogs, and all the other functions popular with a website. Am I fooling myself? Do I need to go back to school for next two years?

Sincerely

Bkricci
