The standard DNN terms of service and privacy agreements need to be reviewed by a lawyer. I am an attorney taking some continuing legal education courses online, and they are talking about all kinds of things that are not included in the standard DNN agreements. For example, there is no choice of laws provision and no submission to jurisdiction. This means that somebody in Pakistan can sue a DNN-based site and apply Pakistani law if the courts there allow it. Also, for e-commerce sites, there need to be additional terms such as where does risk of loss pass, what is the returns policy, etc., etc.
I am no expert in these matters, but DNN should get somebody who is to make sure that these agreements are as good as possible.
Please contact me if I can help or at least to let me know something is happening on this front.
