How can i get texteditor text counter? 

Hi, 

 I have used a texteditor inside Update panel. Now i need to show the number of charecter left when user input their text. So i need to track the onkeydown or onkeyup event, then i will use Javasrcipt. But i cant catch the onkeydown/onkeyup event.

 Can anyone tell me how  can i get those event? Remember my texteditor is inside a updatepanel.

It has been a long time. I still have not the solution.
Just can anyone tell me how I can get onkeydown/onkeyup event of texteditor for javascript?
