Advanced and Other Features won't stay Expanded

Advanced and Other Features won't stay Expanded

I am having trouble with advanced and other features.  For instance, when I go to page settings and then click the + next to Advanced Settings to expand it then it stays expanded for a like 3 seconds and then collapse and again before I can make any changes.  It seems when mike double click on the plus then a it expands and then collapses and then after a like 4 seconds and then expands so I can set something.  It also does this in some modules, but does not expand with the double click thing.  What in the world could cause DotNetNuke to do this?  Please say I don't have to start over.  Please someone help.

Tim

It almost sounds like a problem with your web browser.  Have you tried to duplicate this behavior on another computer?  (Preferrably one without any of the plugins that you have.)

I'm having the same issue and will be interested in any solutions that  you find.

Are you by any chance running McAfee Security Centre?  I believe the issue started after an update McAfee produced about 2 - 3 weeks ago.  I tested my theory by doing a System Restore on my computer to a date in early May.  Once the System Restore is done McAfee starts downloading the automatic updates frantically in order to be running the most current update.  It takes about 5 minutes for the automatic updates to download and during this 5 minute period the expand buttons work just fine.

I've written to McAfee to see what they think and am awaiting a response.

Lindy

Does McAffee come with a browser plugin?  Most AVs do these days.  If so, I would most certainly support your theory.  Hopefully Tim can verify that he is also using McAffee.

FYI - I have viewed and managed DNN sites using machines that have AVG and Avast running on them without any issues.

Same issue and I found other forum posts with the same issue being presented.  I am running McAfee and IE 7 both of which seem to be suspect at this point.
