priviledges issue for non-admin users

I have a MAJOR problem where non-admin users have no option to upload new file even though they can choose to click to have a new file ("part of Link Type"). I'm designing an intranet for a college where i am setting up individual pages for subject/teacher. I have given the teacher a security role that enables him/her to view and edit the module BUT they cannot upload their files. Please Help!!!   would this be a security issue elsewhere? Re: priviledges issue for non-admin users

DNN 4.5 will allow for user page associations, without having to go through and setup a unique role for each user, you might check that out when the new release drops soon.

I believe you also need to setup a directory with permissions for each user in your current model if you want people to be able to upload files.

Re: priviledges issue for non-admin users

I have fixed this issue. In Admin\File Manager you can give any group (including global groups), the right to view as well as write to a folder. It is this write option that allows users to upload files without being admion users

Re: priviledges issue for non-admin users

Thank you sooo much for posting this. I was trying to figure out the same thing just now.

I created a group called Allow Uploads, and am now assigning users to that who need it. Cheers!
