Localized templates?

Hello,

I have a doubt regarding the possibility to localize the new module (04.00.01) templates: I mean, having the template in a resource file (sharedresources.resx) allows to easily translate the template, if you want to have a different one for each language.

But this possibility, as far as I can see, is not available when you edit the template in a module's instance settings: when you modify the instance settings, you only get a template for all languages. So it is not possible to have a different localized template for each module instance.

Am I missing something, or this is the behaviour and it is not possible to have custom localized templates by module instance ?

Thank you,

al.

Re: Localized templates?

you are not missing something, localization of the template is not one of the goals of the module, and is at the moment not really supported by DNN. You can of course create templates per language in the resourcefile, but then you would have the same template for all module instances, and you would loose your localized template when settings are saved. To easily recover a template from the resourcefile just click the load default link....
