Display Message if no announcements

I scanned the forum for a bit and couldnt find an answer for this one, so here it is.

Is there a way I can set up a message to display only when there are no current announcements in the Announcements Module?

I would imagine this would be some sort of if/then statement I could put in the template area.

For example:

If [CurrentAnnouncements] = 0

Then [Status Message]

"Status Message" would be something like "there are no announcements at this time"

anyone got any help to offer? Thanks in advance.

Re: Display Message if no announcements
