Re: Dropdownbox 'Select view' not visible for users

I just started having this same problem.  DNN 4.07 and ANN 4.00.01.  The 'Select View' started appearing for unauthenticated users.  The dropdown is blank.  Any suggestions?

Re: Dropdownbox 'Select view' not visible for users

I took the earlier advice and modifed the announcement just by adding a space at the end.  The 'Select View' no longer appears.  It was not happening on pages accessible to authenticated users....

Re: Dropdownbox 'Select view' not visible for users

Same problem here. DNN 4.8.1. Announcements 04.00.01.

  • Site Preview turned ON by an Admin user
  • For non-Admin user, Announcements module on the SAME PAGE displays Edit Announcement icon and Select View dropdown
  • Turning Preview OFF and editing an announcement clears the problem
  • Announcements modules on OTHER pages are not affected

Re: Dropdownbox 'Select view' not visible for users

Same problem for me on DNN 4.8.4 and Announcements 04.00.01

I edited the latest announcement and it went away as suggested by the others in this thread. It's not as clear to me what causes this to happen. I'm not sure what the Site Preview is that everyone else is referring to. I have been moving between Edit and View (is this the Site Preview referred to?) modes in general. However, it seems that just logging in and moving between pages has also triggered this change with the Select View dropdown staying visible after logging out or switching to View mode.
