Hi,

Could the announcements items order by date not by date desc?

at the moment not. All you can do is force the display order by entering a manual value in the view order field

For our needs, we wanted to display in Title order, I modified the stored procedure 'dbo.dnnAnnouncements_GetCurrent.  The last line reads:

order by dbo.Announcements.ViewOrder asc, dbo.Announcements.PublishDate desc

You could change this to:

order by dbo.Announcements.ViewOrder asc, dbo.Announcements.PublishDate

Should accomplish what your asking.
