single digit PUBLISHDATE day token replacement?

I am trying to show [PUBLISHDATE] in my template with a non zero-leading digit for the day. Using [PUBLISHDATE|dd] gives me '03' but when I use [PUBLISHDATE|d] it gives a full shortdate format '3/3/08'. Is there a way to get a non zero-lead format without manually writing code to remove the zero?

Re: single digit PUBLISHDATE day token replacement?

for information on formating strings see here:

Custom Date and Time format Strings

and

Standard Date and Time format Strings

do you just want to display the number of the day and nothing more? Single letter format strings are special, see the standard datetime format strings page for what they mean. If you just want to display a single number digit, it cannot be done with token replace. You might want to reconsider your requirements

Re: single digit PUBLISHDATE day token replacement?

Yes I only want to display the digit for the day. I am trying to create a simple, tear-off calendar for the announcement day, almost like the dnn community blog. Here is what my template looks like:

<table><tr><td>[IMAGESOURCE]</td><td valign="top"><span class="SubHead">
<div class="ANNDate"><div class="ANNMonth">[PUBLISHDATE|MMM]</div><div class="ANNDay">[PUBLISHDATE|dd]</div><div class="ANNWkDay">[PUBLISHDATE|ddd]</div></div>
[EDIT][TITLE]</span><div class="Normal DNN_ANN_Description">[DESCRIPTION]&nbsp;[READMORE]</div></td></tr></table>

Re: single digit PUBLISHDATE day token replacement?

again, all you have available is what is available in the ASP.NET framework. If it is not working, it is because of limitations there, not of limitations of the announcements module
