Problem nnot resolved

I was having the problem that the Read More would link back to the Home page but was leaving off the Default.aspx part and causing an error.  This was in the last release of the Announcements module and still here in the latest release.

Re: Problem nnot resolved

are you using the [MORE] token or the [READMORE] token. Please see here for full token info: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/EntryID/1684/Default.aspx

Re: Problem nnot resolved

I just updated the announcement module to version 04.00.01 and now have the same problem. The announcements do not have a link, yet the read more ... is displayed. The link gives an error.

I think the item template has not been modified since the installation (some version back)

<span class="SubHead">[EDIT][TITLE] - [PUBLISHDATE]</span><div class="Normal DNN_ANN_Description">[DESCRIPTION]&nbsp;<a href="[URL]" target="[NEWWINDOW]">[MORE]</a></div><br>

There is a 'load default' link besides the item template. Pressing this changes the template into

<table><tr><td>[IMAGESOURCE]</td><td valign="top"><span class="SubHead">[EDIT][TITLE] - [PUBLISHDATE]</span><div class="Normal DNN_ANN_Description">[DESCRIPTION]&nbsp;[READMORE]</div></td></tr></table>

Now the read more has disapeared.

Does this mean I have to go to each announcement module in my site and reset it to default? Or can you fix this in the module so that the old 'default item template' does not show the read more if there is no link?

Regards,

Henkjan van der Wijk

Re: Problem nnot resolved

You have to change the template for every announcement module because the settings are saved to the database.

Not much fun, I know...
